Karim Benzema has equaled his best goal-scoring run. Instrumental in the team’s good form, the French forward has scored in the last six games he’s played. He’s scored eight of his 23 goals this season, making him Real Madrid’s leading attacking threat.

He started the run with league goals in the wins over Getafe and Valencia. After missing the matches against Valladolid, Atalanta, and Real Sociedad, he returned with a goal in the derby at the Metropolitano. He added to his goal-scoring tally against Elche, netting twice. After bagging the first goal in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, he scored a brace against Celta to draw level with Santillana as Real Madrid’s fourth top league goalscorer.

His 2015/16 record

Benzema, who has scored in five games on several occasions, had only previously managed this run in the 2015/16 campaign. At that time, Benzema was on target in eight games against Valencia, Deportivo, Sporting, Betis, Espanyol, and Granada between January and February 2016.
