Benzema on the double as Real cruise past Cadiz to move top of the Table

Real Madrid went on top of the table and level on points with Atletico Madrid after comfortably disposing of lowly Cadiz.

Los Blancos travelled to the Estadio Ramon de Carranza amid fan protests against the proposed European Super League. The situation outside the stadium was a bit heated but inside, the visitors ran riot, sealing the win with three first-half goals.

The first Goal came from Karim Benzema who converted from the spot and climbed up the ladder in the race for El ‘Pichichi’. This is the first penalty awarded to Real Madrid since 24th October, 2020 back in the Clasico.

Karim Benzema then went onto assist the second goal for the visitors as Alvaro Odriozola headed home.

The Frenchman, once again on the cards for the hosts as the brace was completed for him after heading home comfortably from a lobbed pass from Casemiro.

Benzema`s goal took him level with club great Raul Gonzalez as having scored against 35 different opponents in La Liga.
