Ep. 87 – Clowns…not Fans

This is a bit of a different episode. I have always enjoyed talking about the politics of football, the behavior (or lack thereof) that it inspires in its fanbase, and well the good, the bad, and the ugly of football.

We saw quite a bit of ugly this past weekend at the Madrid Derby and once again it was against Atlético Madrid and a sector of their fanbase that really should not be allowed to be a part of football.

Sure, I have a bias towards Real Madrid BUT stupid behavior is stupid behavior no matter who is doing it.

In this episode, I give my thoughts on the Real Madrid derby, Frente Atlético, ultra fan groups—who are really clowns…not fans—and I also talk a bit about football as well.

I like a good conversation, a good debate, and a bit of drama here and there. So I have to say I liked this podcast because well I spoke from the heart.

Football should be about football. Some banter is fine. Heated rivalries are good. But violence, racism, etc…are not. That is not football.
