On our 2nd matchday of the season, Real Madrid will be traveling to Levante to face them at the Estadi Ciudad de València on Sunday.
Levante comes into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Alvaro Cervera’s Cádiz. A first-half goal from veteran forward Jose Luis Morales for Levante was canceled out by a late second-half goal from Uruguayan left-back Alfonso Espino for Cádiz.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, beat Javier Calleja’s Alavés 4-1. A second-half brace from French striker Karim Benzema and goals from versatile defender Nacho and Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior ensured victory for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid. Joselu scored the only goal for Deportivo Alaves.

Levante: Levante will be without young midfielder Alex Blesa, center-back Sergio Postigo, attacker Dani Gomez and veteran Spain international Roberto Soldado. Other than that there are no known issues and manager Paco Lopez is expected to have a fully fit squad at his disposal.
Real Madrid: Ancelotti will be without the likes of Modric, Kroos, Ceballos for this upcoming matchup. Marcelo and Ferland Mendy are also out due to injury. Dani Carvajal has fully recovered from his long-term injury and is expected to get some minutes against the Valencians.
