International Competitions Quarter Finals Recap: A Closer look at Madridistas

We have now come to the business end of the competitions and Madridistas performed their best for their respective National Teams. But Unfortunately, for many Madridistas, the journey seemed to be short while for some others they may feel they have a shot at the ultimate prize.

Let’s take a look at how our Players Performed in the Quarter Finals

Let us first look at the Copa America

Casemiro, Eder Militao and Vinicius Jr.

Casemiro started and played the full length of the match in Brazil’s 1-0 victory over Chile. Brazil finished the game with 10 men after Gabriel Jesus was sent off but still managed to keep a clean sheet, thanks to an outstanding performance from Casemiro. He won a total of 8 duels, 2 aerial duels, and made 3 recoveries throughout the match. He also had a pass success rate of 91%.

Eder Militao came on the pitch in the 90th minute and didn’t make much of an impact on the game.

Vinicius didn’t get any minutes.

Brazil take on Peru in the Semi Finals on Tuesday (EDIT: Brazil defeated Peru 1-0)

Federico Valverde

Valverde started for Uruguay as they bow out of the Copa America having lost to Colombia in Penalty Shootout.

Valverde had the most tackles (4) in the match having succeeding in all of them.

Maintained a pass success rate of 82% and made a key pass.

Won 6 duels and made 6 recoveries.

He was substituted in the 80th minute

Now Let’s take a look at the Euros

Well, Only Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard were the only Madridistas left in the Euros but after the completion of the Quarter Final stages, there are none!

Belgium finished their Euro 2020 campaign after losing to Italy.

Courtois did not have a good game from our point of view as he had xG conceded of 1.73 where he actually let in 2 of them and made only 2 saves throughout the match.

Eden Hazard is Injured and did not feature.
