Real Madrid has now won five “Clásicos” in a row and now have 100 “Clasico” wins over their rivals FC Barcelona.

Los Blancos made the Supercopa De España semi-final in Riyadh a lot more difficult than it needed to be and allowed a youthful, resurgent Barcelona to get back into the game twice.

However, in the end, Real Madrid were able to put the game away in extra time, take home their 100th El Clásico victory over the Blaugranas, and move on to the final on Sunday where they will face Athletic Bilbao.

A lot has been said in the Spanish media about Barcelona’s performance and the Culers seem to see it as some kind of “moral victory”.

In this episode of the podcast, we discuss why there is no such thing as a moral victory in football, Real Madrid’s lackluster performance, and we also discuss that history does not remember stats…it remembers who won the game in the end.
